2ND PRIZE – 2023 Lane Cove Art Award

The 2023 Lane Cove Art Awards exhibition promises to be a captivating celebration of artistic talent and creativity. From detailed figurative drawings to vibrant and colourful abstract paintings, the award attracts artists of immense skill and passion from diverse backgrounds. In its 58th year, the Lane Cove Art Society, with the support of Lane Cove Council have introduced some significant changes that ensures the award and exhibition continues to be one of Sydney’s most coveted prizes. The winner of the prize will win $15,000 and a solo exhibition at Gallery Lane Cove + Creative Studios. Sally is thrilled to announce that her artwork “The Heads”, 120x150cm, oil on canvas, has been awarded 2nd PRIZE.

2023 FINALIST Naked & Nude Art Prize

“Naked & Nude refers to two things: firstly the great tradition of the Nude: a person who is bare with no covering or decoration. Secondly, a wider definition: something that is revealed, laid bare, unmasked or vulnerable”. The biennial Naked & Nude Art Prize (previously the Manning Art Prize: Naked & Nude) commenced in 1990 with entries open to Australian artists. The Art Prize is a partnership between Friends of the Manning Regional Art Gallery and the Manning Regional Art Gallery. After 33 years, the Naked & Nude Art Prize has become a prestigious national event on the Australian Arts Calendar and is open to artists in a variety of mediums.  The winning entry is acquired by the Friends and donated to the Manning Regional Art Gallery’s permanent collection. Now in its third year, the Environmental Art & Design Prize brings together artists and designers from across Australia to shine a spotlight on environmental concerns and hopes for the future. Held by Northern Beaches Council, the prestigious art prize attracts entries from every state and territory across Australia. 2023 FINALIST Rotary Art Award

The Rotary Art Award, Queensland’s largest art show is back in 2023. With a refreshed new look and name, the award continues with the same values and community focus we know and trust.

Following on from the amazing efforts of the Brisbane Rotary Clubs from previous years, which raised almost $2 million for the Brisbane Rotary community projects and local charity partners. The 41st edition of the award will feature prominent and up and coming Australian artists, carefully selected by the Curator, and exhibited in Brisbane CBD. Exhibition artworks are for sale and all profits go directly to the not-for-profit Rotary Clubs to continue their community work. 2023 FINALIST Lethbridge Small Scale Art Award

With a first prize of $20 000, the Lethbridge Art Award is open to national and international artists for small-scale artworks. Entrants may submit a 2D or 3D artwork up to 61cm (24 inches) in height, width, or depth.Judging is based on three equally evaluated criteria of creativity, originality, and skill. 2023 FINALIST Doyles Art Award

With a prize pool of over $30,000 split amongst several categories, The Doyles are seen as a significant award in the art calendar. The primary prize money is awarded in the Landscape category, in keeping with the favored subject of its namesake, to perpetuate his memory and to encourage others in the creation of quintessentially Australian Art. The exhibition is open from 15-25 June 2023 10am-5pm at Mudgeeraba Memorial Hall, 62 Railway St Mudgeeraba Queensland. 2023 FINALIST Fairholme Open Art Prize

Now in its seventh year, ‘Fairholme Open Art Prize – FACETS’, presents a carefully selected and thoughtfully curated presentation that invites a shared conversation, artistic expression, and audience engagement; and it is this, the celebration of Art, Education and Community that have become the focus of this exhibition.

The exhibition provides local, regional, national, and international artists an exciting opportunity to exhibit their works in a refined, boutique setting. 2023 FINALIST Harden Art Prize

The Harden Art Prize is in its second year following a very successful inaugural event held in Harden Murrumburrah in May 2022.  The organisation responsible for the presentation of the event is Harden Art Prize Incorporated (a community committee) which evolved from an initiative of the Harden Murrumburrah Community Bank and the Geoffrey Kruger Trust (dual sponsors). The competition is intended to promote Harden-Murrumburrah to the arts community of Australia and to encourage visitors to view the exhibition of work by the finalists. The exhibition is staged in Autumn which is a glorious time to promote visitation to the area and boost the economy of a small rural community.  The Art Prize promotes cultural awareness in the district and will grow a quality art collection over the coming years contributing to the expansion and development of the arts scene in Australia. 2023 FINALIST John Villiers Outback Art Prize

The John Villiers Outback Art Prize is presented by the Outback Regional Gallery and Waltzing Matilda Centre in Winton, Queensland. This prize has the theme “Outback: A Sense of Place” and acceptable mediums include painting, drawing, print making, sculpture or textile, but no photography or digital mediums. Entries are open to Australian citizens that reside in Australia (not internationally). Entrants submit images of their works. Collie Art Gallery’s $50,000 Collie Art Prize (CAP2023) is one of regional Australia’s richest individual art prizes, and forms part of the coal mining town’s push to diversify its economy into tourism and other industries.
