The Fisher’s Ghost Art Award is an annual art prize inviting artists to submit works in a variety of artistic categories and mediums. Now in its 59th year, with a total of $38,000 in prize money to be won. The Open section is acquisitive to the Campbelltown City Council collection and is valued at $25,000. 2021 FINALIST MSC Maritime Art Prize
The Mission to Seafarers’ MSC Maritime Art Prize & Exhibition is an international competition that has been hosted at the heritage-listed Mission building in Melbourne’s Docklands for nineteen years and is returning once again in 2021. Sally’s painting “”Pittwater, Lucinda Park 2 (28.5.20) – Plein Air”, 60x75cm, oil on canvas, has been selected as a FINALIST. 2021 FINALIST Georges River Art Prize
The Georges River Art Prize is an opportunity for artists from all over Australia to display their best work. There are categories for painting and sculptural work, children and youth, and local artists. The Georges River Art Prize is hosted by Hurstville Museum & Gallery and the Clive James Library and Service Centre, Kogarah, and offers $20,000 in prize money. 2021 FINALIST National Capital Art Prize
With a prize pool of more than $45,000, this competition aims to ignite the passion and courage of artists across the country, many of whom lost the opportunity to display and sell their work during 2020 with its devastating impact on the arts sector. 2021 FINALIST Lethbridge Small Scale Art Prize
With a first prize of $20 000, the Lethbridge Art Award is open to national and international artists for small-scale artworks. Entrants may submit 2D or 3D artworks up to 61cm (24 inches) in height, width or depth. The Judging is based on three equally evaluated criteria of creativity, originality and skill. Sally is thrilled to announced that “Sheep Dog”, 45x45cm, oil on canvas has been selected as a finalist this year.
2021 Salon Des Refuses, Lethbridge Landscape Art Prize
Lethbridge Gallery believes in the power of art to understand, interpret, and explore the place we live. They wish to establish the Landscape Prize to celebrate and develop this important genre. The competition is open to all forms of 2D and 3D artwork including, but not limited to, all paint mediums, drawings, digital works, works on paper, sculpture and installation. FINALIST 2021 Wyndham Art Prize
Now in its seventh year, this annual contemporary art prize attracts entries from some of the best artists across Australia and offers a chance for local and emerging artists to exhibit alongside them. Sally is thrilled to have received news that “The Top Shops”, 100x100cm, oil on canvas, has been selected to be included in this years list of finalists. Exhibition runs from 13 May to 27 June at the Wyndham Art Gallery.
2020 FINALIST Vincent Art Prize
Unselected works from the Archibald, Wynne and Sulman Art Prizes who are clients of Art Van Go automatically go into the Vincent Art Prize for judging. This year the art prize was judged and curated by Lucy Culliton. 25 finalists were selected and were hung at the Duck Rabbit Gallery in Redfern. Sally was very excited to be included in the exhibition with her piece “The Servo”, 100x150cm, oil on canvas.
